The morning museum choice stays intentionally light so the evening remains flexible.
Tokyo's car culture
Asakusa and Odaiba, or a Nakano collectibles afternoon—paced to your interests.
Flexible city day; no track experience promised.
Tokyo to Kobe
Rail west to Kobe, then an unhurried waterfront afternoon and harbor lights.
JR Pass activates today through Day 9.
Himeji excursion
A clear day for Himeji Castle and the road back through Kansai. GuideMe Japan, our domestic touring partner, can help arrange guided day-trip support when requested.
Use eligible Hikari/Sakura services; Nozomi/Mizuho need an extra ticket. Partner services and availability require confirmation.
Kobe, at your pace
Leisure day with optional car-culture stops shaped around current openings, or a custom Kansai outing supported by our domestic partner GuideMe Japan.
No promised track or factory experiences; any partner-led day trip is quoted separately.Hiroshima / Mazda
Mazda Museum with advance reservation required—or the Peace Memorial Museum as an alternative.
Museum reservation and operating days unverified.
Miyajima
A slower island day: ferry, torii gate, and time to wander.
Private ferry coverage is not assumed.Hiroshima to Nagoya
Transfer to Nagoya. Toyota Museum only if timing is genuinely feasible.
Keep the day clear for the transfer.
Nagoya to Fuji
Toyota Museum in the morning if not visited on Day 8, then onward toward Fuji. Choose a Yamanashi base around Lake Kawaguchiko or reroute through Hakone—do not attempt both.
Yamanashi options include the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway with a lakeside walk, Oshino Hakkai, or the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum. Weather and operating schedules decide the final choice.
Fuji to Tokyo
A final mountain morning, then return to Tokyo. If the itinerary uses Hakone instead of Yamanashi, choose either the Open-Air Museum or a compact Ropeway–Owakudani–Lake Ashi circuit.
Fuji–Tokyo return is funded separately in the local/non-JR allowance. Ropeway, cruise, visibility, volcanic conditions, and museum hours require confirmation.Logistics & illustrative budget
